Frequently Asked Questions
Who do you work with?
We support all ages, from babies to adults, men and women alike. Whether for yourself or a loved one, we provide personalised care to uncover root causes and restore balance.
What is Functional Medicine?
Think of your health as a tree. Conventional medicine often treats the visible symptoms—the leaves and branches—primarily with medication. Functional medicine goes deeper, addressing the roots (genetics and lifestyle) while nourishing the soil (nutrition, stress management, and other foundational elements of health). This holistic approach supports lasting wellness from the ground up.
In Functional Medicine, getting a ‘diagnosis’ like acne opens up a whole new set of questions exploring why do you, specifically, have acne?
How do you address the root causes?
We use advanced functional testing and a thorough health history to identify underlying imbalances—such as gut health, nutrition, hormones, toxins, and stress—that contribute to symptoms. Our approach focuses on restoring balance through personalised lifestyle, dietary, and supplement strategies.
What functional tests will you recommend?
We will recommend advanced functional tests to assess your health, such as:
Urine Organic Acid Test (OAT) – Evaluates metabolic function, gut health, nutrient status, and toxicity markers. A urine test.
Stool GI-MAP – Analyses gut microbiome balance, digestion, inflammation, and pathogens. A stool test.
These cost £579 plus delivery and are payable directly to Nordic Labs.
Other possible tests include the DUTCH test (a urine test assessing hormones), and LifeCode Gx (an oral swab to test your DNA).

What does working together look like?
Our journey starts with an in-depth online consultation (£425), followed by check-ins every 8 weeks (£150). Most patients work with us for 10-14 months, but this varies for each person.
We’ll guide you every step of the way, but you’re in the driver’s seat—your health, your pace. Regular check-ins help you get the best results.
What are your thoughts on supplements?
I may recommend supplements to support your health needs, particularly for nutrient gaps or specific conditions. They are meant to complement a balanced diet, not replace it, and I’ll make sure any recommendations are tailored to you.
How much will supplements cost?
I recommend high-quality supplements, with prices typically ranging from £70 to £150 per month.
How long will I need to be on supplements for?
Supplements are used short-term support while we create the right conditions for your body to heal. The goal is to help you reach a point where your lifestyle can sustain your health in the long term. This looks different for each person.
